So I just bought some Brine Shrimp eggs, which comes free with microworm and vinegar eel starter cultures - for a very good deal :hey:
They'll arrive in few days, and I just wanted to ask a few questions.
I want to know what has worked best for you, when it comes to feeding your Betta fry.

Microworm:
There are many types of medias that can be used - such as cooked oatmeal, uncooked oatmeal, bread, baby cereal etc..
Which worked best for you when you had your culture going?

Brine Shrimp:
After hours of researching I got no real results on what I was looking for :X
Some say you don't need to rinse the salt water out, and some say you do..
Do you rinse them before feeding them to your fry?

Vinegar Eels:
These, I know next to nothing about feeding them to Betta fry.
The culture takes up to a month to get going and harvesting them can be a pain.
Are these vinegar eels suitable for Betta fry, and at what age can they be fed to fry?

I hope to try spawning my Bettas again in a week or two, and since there are a lot of successful breeders on this forum I want to know what worked best for you and your fry.
Thanks :good:

I found oatmeal and yeast worked best for my microworm culture!

Did you cook the oatmeal first?
I don't think it really matters if you do, actually..

I got tired of waiting for the water to heat, so nah xD just add water, not so its luquidy, but you don't want too thick! Cover the bottom of your lidded Container with about half an inch of it! Poke a hole or two in the lid, sprinkle a pinch or two of yeast on top and VIOLA!

Well i havnt used any of those i use the hit n miss infusoria but i got lucky and now mine eat powdered food so i was lucky next time i breed microworms will be the way to go :) i suggest the porrige (oatmeal) with the extra added yeast but i would start those micros now :)
