hi guys. i went to lfs today and at the counter were some cylinder-tube shaped clear plastic things with tiny creatures inside them. then around the other side i saw some more and they were labelled live food. i didn't really think much of it at the time, but now i'm intrigued. does anyone know what exactly these creatues are? they were in some kind of liquid as well. is this just water? also if you wanted to buy some for your fish how do you store them? can anyone enlighten me? i have never come across this before obviously i've heard about live food, but i thought it just meant the frozen or dried stuff as opposed to pellets or flakes. i guess live food is much better for your fish than those?

bloodworm, brine shrimp or daphnia normally

most people on here feed live foods once a week for treats or condition there fish for breeding with them

And I think orange shark has said this before but I'll just throw in that you should be very sparing with bloodworms as they can not only cause bloating problems that can become serious but also can cause oil slicks on the water surface that are hard to clear.
