got some from my lfs....but has been so long since I bought them....do you take them out of the red water  cant remember how you feed them to the bettas? they cant have them until tomorrow but need to know. thanks.

I like to rinse them in water and then just feed with tweesers dropping them in the tank. You can then just keep changing to clean water everyday and they should last quite a few days :D but yeah, don't put their water into your tank just in case :/

:X thanks. I dont fancy using my eyebrow tweezers! Could use the good old trusted turkey baster..that has never seen a turkey in its little life!

:D I kept moaning at my shop, they have a fridge with a sign on saying live food but never have any live food. They said no one asks for it......I told them I was asking...I bet they will have sold out by Monday...they had got bloodworms, daphnia and brine shrimp!

  OMG what greedy bettas! They have all had about 3 or 4 each and they hardly hit the tank! They are all patrolling their little homes now peering in caves and under heaters in case any escaped! They also have very fat tummies. :shout: :shout: Even Clancy who has sb and is also very lazy got off his butt and chased round his tank! :fun:

:hyper: got a rainwater butt down bottom of garden. It is full of pond snails, had the lid off for about a week and can see the daphnia starting now. leave it a couple of days and they will be feasting like Kings!

They certainly will. And wit all this extra live food you betta get some more bettas, dont want all that food going to waste!

Bret

Dont worry about going to waste Bret, also got 3 massive tropical, one telescopic, 4 fancy and a pond. :good: :good: Got to go and get another tank in a mo from the wholesale place!

Just outa curiousity... how do you breed the daphnia? ive got some spare containers and was thinking about it but dont have a clue... any advice/..

 not sure..if you leave a bucket in the garden it collects rain water and leaf mould and then it just sort of appears. It has to be sunny. got bloodworms in the bird bath but sure where they have come from
