Hi

Just wondered if anyone can help here

I have a 200L corner unit, planted and with various different rocks & bogwood. On the bogwood and one of the rocks i have tiny (pinhead sized) bright white spots, theres loads of them.

I dont know what these are and they have been in tank for about a year and nothing is happening to them.

Any ideas please??

Hi, Can you post some pix of them?

If you've had them there for awhile without ill effect, then I wouldn't worry about them.

Do you have nerite snails? They sound like nerite eggs.

Hi

I have 2 zebra snails, which i've had about a year and have just bought 2 orange rabbit snails on Sunday. These spots have been in tank for ages and nowt is happening to them

Yupp those are zebra snail eggs... they look like little white sesame seeds, right? I'm afraid I don't know how to get rid of them. You'll have to ask someone else.

Yeah theyre zebra snail eggs. they wont hatch because they only hatch in saltwater but they make a mess, though.

How interesting!

Thank you for the help guys. Yes they do look just like sesame seeds, quite annoying to look at too, but i like my snails, so i will just put up with them i guess.
