I can’t tell from the photo... will you please remove it and take a picture out of water?

Most rocks aren’t bad for tanks, unless they are a rock like limestone, which could/can alter the hardness of your water.

I will remove them when I get home at 730pm (pst) and post the pic. Wayer Hardness is in good range. Are they usually colorful?

I’m not sure what type of rocks they are...

Im not sure how they keep “appearing” in your tank either. Didn’t you put them in there to begin with?

No. Those are tiny little rocks. I had to zoom them in so the pic could look somewhat clear. Thought maybe pieces of bones at 1st but then noticed they were round.

Looks like just pieces of colorful gravel that got mixed in with the white

Hmmm maybe. But I could swear there's more and more unless the fish bring them out when they move sand around. But we then we never had gravel in this tank.hmm unless came in with sand

The "sand" looks to me like small white gravel, it's much too coarse and large to be normal sand

do you have kids?

Id be side eyeing them if theyre tossing pebbles into the tank

(Don't ask, ive had to fish out dinosaur toys a few times)

And I've found hot wheels, nerf gun bullets and legos in my tank when doing water changes:rofl:

Our kids are older. The youngest is 16 so that's not it. Haha. Sand is actually fine. I've seen thicker.

Oh, how I see them. Who knows? Maybe it was a piece of colored gravel and the paint got chipped off? Or maybe it was under the substrate and recently got stirred up?

I’m not 100% sure, but I’m 97.36483% sure it’s not bone.

I'm sure its not bone either too round. I thought calcification but water parameters are normal

I found one in my tank a couple of days ago. Like a little baby tooth. I decided it came with the sand but it was strange....
