HI was looking at my sand in my tank and saw a small ((4-5mm) pink worm thing coming out of my sand! I looked around for something to catch it and put it in but by the time i found soemthing, i looked up and it was gone! What do you think it was? I feed my fishes frozen bloodworms sometimes...but they're dead...it can't be one of them can it?

Not really sure, could it be planeria?

I googled planeria and it doesn't look like that. I also had a chat with the main man at my LFS and he said whatever it was, most likely its harmless as long as it isn't attached to any of my fish!

I googled it. If your tank is freshwater, then i have no idea what the hell it is.

If its saltwater, it can be a bristleworm or if you have dead whales in your tank (baby whales don't count!) it could be a skeleton devouring worm.

(its bristleworm if its saltwater lol. the pink bone eater worm is a recent discovery in monterey canyon in california where they found a dead whale with these worms and pink sea cucumbers eating the bones)
