Hi,on my filter housing which is plastic ive got little green tufts of what seem like fluff, there is 7 or 8 growths and its no where else in the tank, what could it be!,stats are 0 0 nitrate 20 ph 7.7 temp 28.c, lights are juwel high lite day+nature

Sounds like an algae issue related to lack of carbon (carbon dioxide).
The juwel high lights are t5 and are very bright. All their tanks with the high lights should really have carbon injection.

Sounds like algae to me too, check out the algae guide in my sig to identify it. The handy guide will suggest a solution for you too.

Tho... if it's only growing on your filter is would just remove it and do a water change. Then see if it grows back.

Lack of carbon,u mean lack of oxygen!!,i have two air pumps with airstones, also lot of plants mainly small species.

You believe the algae is present because you have low O2 levels?
Your air pumps are driving off the CO2 via surface agitation. This in conjunction with lots of plants and high lighting correlates strongly towards your tank having low CO2 levels.

Is this bad for my fish?
