Hey guys

wednesday night i'm gonna make a DIY Co2 Kit using the old 2ltr bottle method and wondered when its all setup and being put into my tank will it kill my fish if there ain't no live plants in the tank ?

i havn't got any live plants yet but want to test it out and wondered if it will kill my fish throught lack of oxygen ?

I'll be piping it up to the outlet of my Juwel Filter so it will be diffused into the water relatively well ?

So long as the level doesn't get to high you should be fine. How about testing it on a bucket of water first? That way you can try it without risking killing your fish :)

I've got it going and i have quite a few small bubbles going into the tank now but because i put the pipe coming out of the bottle so short i've had to join the tubes using a valve u use on air pumps to stop the water going backwards !

my question is, is that okay cos obviously no air can get into the bottle now ?
