How dangerous is it? ive heard stories from a bee sting, to the worst pain ive ever felt in my life. I wanted to get one for one of my tanks but am a little worried about the sting. Also would a volitan lion be compatable with a harlequin tusk?

well if its anything how the man at my lfs reacted its more like a shot gun. there was no blood but a cut it was weird

I was carelessly stung last tuesday by mine..after only have it a week.

I think the degree of pain depends on the size of the fish, how many spines you come in contact with etc.

The pain was instant, straight away i had my hand under hot water. It was definatly a lot worse than a beesting, with more of a burning feeling haha. The swelling went down in about 30 mins but the pain was strong for about 2 hours, then it became lesser and numb. The day after my finger just felt a little stiff. Now 6 days later if i push on where i was stung i can feel it.

I'm glad it happened because now i know it wont happend again as I'll be alot more careful
