I have a 30 gallon hexagon tank 24in in height and I'm using the 14 watt blub they gave me I'm wondering that will be enough for plants such as hornwort, Amazon Sword, and Java Ferns. Should I get more wattage what do you think?

Gee, thanks for the answer.. This is the beginners forum whats the big deal..

Well he is just being helpful. The plant experts are more likely to see your post in the planted forum since that's where a lot of them might hang out.

Starorbs, because of the height of your tank that 14 watts will not go very far, and I doubt you will have much success. With 30 watts on my 28 gal. hex I couldn't keep anything very well.

.::sigh::.

I would say I have helped you a bit over the last few days. Here, I was doing the same by telling you where to get the best information and help from.

If you really need some sort of help, the java ferns can do pretty well in any light. Mine survived (even thrived!) under incandescent lights.

You'll need stronger lights, but I have no definite answers to that, hence the "bad" response given earlier.
