Helly everybody,
I'm getting my new tank tomorrow, it's a 13 gallon and it comes empty which means I have to buy everything like heater, filter, light, all stuff.
I'm thinking of buying some plants and stuff and I have questions about lighting.
The actual light that belongs with the tank is very expensive and completely out of my budget so I have this option which is something like a stip of LED lights. It's this thing over here.
It costs much less than it does at petco tho, it's only 20€ or something like that.
Is this a good lighting option for a planted tank?
Thanks!

They are in the correct lighting spectrum 6500K for plants etc. But never tried this type of strip lighting I can't comment how good they will be.

Since it's the correct lightin spectrum it should work, right?
I'm not buying it just for the plants tho, I need lighting for the tank but I would like it to be a good one so that if I ever get to buy the plants it will work for them too.

from my (limited) experience i have found LED lighting to be not very useful but flourescent is well worth the money as it (very slightly e.g 0.2 degree max) dosent affect water temperature yet has generally will give you wpg of at least 1 if it is the right size for your tank which is normally within 3 inches of your tanks length
