I have just been given a tank(elite style 60ltr)that has faulty lighting-it doesnt work!ive changed the bulb and switch but its still broken.as the lighting is a sealed unit i would need to buy a wholee new hood to rectify the problem,but these are almost the same price as a whole new tank.i was wondering if anyone knew of any lights i could retro fit that will be good for the tank?i thought about attaching lots of LEDs to the hood but as the tank will be planted i would like some UV light in their too.
if anyone has any ideas or have done this themselves then please let me know.
