I have just got a 4 x 24w T5 above the tank luminare I am going to split it and put it in the hood of my Aqua-one UFO700. If all goes to plan I will have to sacrifice one of the standard 20W T8 lights so I will be left wth 4 x 24w T5s and 2 x 20w T8s. This would give me 3.45 Watts per gallon in a 175litres tank with a depth of 20"/500mm. What corals would I be able to keep in this set up. I,m running a DCE600 skimmer, Korolia2 and a 800 l/hr self oscilating power heads, a Ehiem HOB external filter with a arcadia 8 watt light over it filled with cheato ( my home made refugium its not pretty but it works :hyper: ) and about 25 kg of live rock.

Also the lamps that come with are 14000k whites would I be best changing 2 for actinic and useing one white and one marine blue in my T8s

Regards Gaz

Prolly be ok with softies and LPS. A little underpowered for SPS, clams, and nems.
