Lighting Turning Off?

My light on one my 29 gallon tanks keeps flickering off for a few seconds. Its the standard tube and starter type light that comes with the plastic hoods. Has anyone else had a problem like this? Any idea how to fix it?

Dose it do that all the time?

If so then the tube's shot, just replace it and it should be fine.
If it's just at first till it warms up then it's normal.

It has always flickered a bit at start up but it just recently started to do the whole turn of randomly thing. Guess its off to the pet store then. Thanks

have a look at the ends of the light, guessing you have a black ring.
your have to remove it first
