I have an older Aqua-Glo lighting system with a typical fluorescent (For typical freshwater) 14" bulb (15w). I can find replacement bulbs, but I am having trouble finding an Actinic bulb to fit.. Everything seems to be either 12" or 18". Anyone know where I can find a bulb like this or do I need a new lighting system??

A new light system would probably be better off. In 35g a metal halide like this would do.

Well possibly in the future if I want to go after corals, but for my pocket book right now I'm not sure if I can even afford a new compact fluorescent system around 15". I have an issue with the octagon tank and finding a lighting system that will fit. Right now its a standard freshwater lamp system that sits on clear plastic over the tank. I could try messing with the lid but I have other curious animals trying to eat my fish... Don't ask........
