Lighting Question

I am looking into building a Hood for my new tank and I wondered if I can use a standard florescent lighting strip from B&Q ? Or do I need a waterproof one ? The lighting unit its self not the tube.

it 100% needs to be water proof, you dont want to take the risk with it otherwise!

Need to find one now so I can build it into my hood design.

Any idea when I can get the parts to make one rather than a complete unit ?
