Lighting Question (newbie)

Hi just got a Fluval Roma 125 and i am comeing to the end of my fishless cycle this weekend and i am going to put some real plants in hopefully friday night then get fish saturday but i was wondering how long i should leave the lights on every day etc cheers

i leave mine on for about 9hrs a day.

I think it really depends on the plants what were you thinking of getting in there?

For low maintinence i reccomend:

Elodia
Cabomba
Crypts

and moss balls pretty much take care of themselves.

we got 2 lights in ours 1 for moonlight that e use at night and 1 for daylight which we ue in the day both are plugged in to timers which literally switch over at 9am and 9pm so they always get 12hrs in the day and 12hrs at night.

It can depend on what bulbs you got and the wattage of them aswel anything to weak and nothing will grow anything to strong and you will have a massive algae growth.
