well, i have cheap stock flourecent lightin, thats like 12W per buld? i think, 2 bulbs at 24'' each. 55 gallon tank, very low and its a planted tank, what is the cheapest alternative for me? i need to have good wattage

For a 55g tank I would get T5's, either compact or normal.
