I have a 36" nova extreme light over my tank. I believe it is about 2 years old and way past the point where I need to change the bulbs. Anyone have any good links to places they buy their replacement bulbs? I am not sure what kind of bulb I need too, can it be made by anyone?

Thanks!

When the light is off, you can look at the bulb itself and that will usually say what it is.

The website of the manufacturer states that the fitting takes 1 or 2 39W high output (HO) T5s, which are a type of fluorescent tube. They should be the "36 inch" length of the tube, which is normally just under 36". You can replace "white" or "yellow" aquarium bulbs with normal, cheap, non-aquarium bulbs because there is little difference. I prefer to use the Osram or Phillips colour 865 bulbs. You might want to check, but I think some of those last for 5+ years before they lose a significant amount of their output.
