I am looking to upgrade the lighting on my 29 gallon. I currently am using an Aqueon Full Deluxe hood with the light fixture that came with it. I did upgrade to a t8 floramax bulb.
I am hoping to move up to a dual t5 or t5ho fixture. I am looking to spend less than 100 USD on this fixture not including bulbs. I would like to be able to put the new fixture right where my current one is but I understand if that isn't going to work.
My next question would be, do i need to have something in between the new more powerful lights and my water? Such as a versa-top? I'm a high school student so spending the least amount of money possible is pretty important to me but of course I want a quality product.
If you have any suggestions on a particular product or a special bulb I'd love to hear it. Feel free to ask any other questions that will hlep you help me
