I just found that and since I don't have any experience with live plants as of yet I was wondering what you all think.

Also, I just got a 10 gallon tank and the most reasonable amount of lighting I can get into it is 1.8 WGP. Would I still need Co2 at this level?

On a totally unrelated note, should I use one of the more specialized substrates? How much would it help my tank?

At 1.8 wpg, it would be great to have c02 or else you will probably have algae. Ferts will also help.

About the substrates, specialized plant substrates have minerals in it which help the plants. With regular gravel, you would need to add root tabs, but they wouldn't be as good.

1.8 WPG is low light in a 10G. You won't "need" CO2 but it will help.

A nutrient-rich substrate will help most plants, especially root feeders. A worthwhile investment IME.

Nice link BTW - very interesting.

EEEEEP I'm under powered for my 60L i only have 76w lol
