Hi.
Got some noob questions about plants and plant related things.I have a Juwel Korallux 60/korall(as some places have it listed) and I would like to plant it,I have tried in this tank before but they all died so i gave up and went with plastic however it just doest look how I would like it to look! So I have the one florescent tube in there that came with the tank,so from reading things on here I think i need a different tube but have no idea what one so that is my first question.I have a sand substrate and don't really want to use co2 (don't really have the money)so do I need to use fertiliser of some sort? if not can some one tell me what plants that will be suitable, what I was thinking I would like to achieve is some bog wood or some root (cant remember the name) with plants on it (java something?) and some moss to cover the bottom.Im very very sorry for my total lack of knowledge!

Thanks
Dan

Jave Fern, Anubias, Amazon Swords all hardy plants. If you want to avoid co2 you should be fine with those plants.

But a big factor will be the lights, someone should be able to help more with that than little old me.

Thank you very much thats the sort of thing I was looking for, would any of these be ok? http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/plants-carpet-plants-c-255_527.html want something to cover a large portion of the bottom of the tank

The Eleocharis Acicularis is ok without co2 but will not grow quickly or to its full potential.

Sagittaria platyphylla is nice and fairly hardy, it does grown a little larger than other foreground plants but looks great sticking out of small rocks near the front.

Just remember without co2 growth will be a lot slower.

Ok so can someone explain bait about co2, given that I don't have a massive tank would I need an elaborate and expensive co2 system? Also any advice on the lighting would be a great help
