Guys I want to light the front of my mce 600 so I can keep chaeto in there - any ideas?

Waterproof LEDs from flea bay seem a good option not 100% on spectrum needed for chaeto growth can check for you.

Spectrum needs about 6600 so normal whites are fine I will PM you a link I found might be better for you :)
 
lol this is starting to become a habit, can you PM that link to me too. Lighting my 'fuge with a PC tube at the mo and would prefer to switch to LEDS to save a bit of the running costs.
 
Darn, can only find the blue one - the others are from Hong kong and I want it now, now, now!!

i wouldnt light your skimmer...you may get problem algae growing where you dont want it and lose some performance. A few people wrap theirs in black plastic so as no light goes near their skimmer

maybe you could cover it bar the media chamber? so only that bit is lit?
