I've just set up a tiny 14"x8"x8" tank as a breeder / qt - currently occupied by a hareem of celestial pearl danio.

I'm in the process of aquascaping it with plants attached to removable hardscape (so that the tank can be retasked as and when for breeding, qt and fry raising).

I have and am planning to have lots of moss (xmas and java) and some anubias tied to stones. I'll be making a little moss wall for one of the sides - which should be good for fry to hide and feed in.

I currently have a little 4w flourecent tube (from thailand 'a la ebay') and a small air driven box filter.

My question is this; - is this lighting going to be sufficient to keep the moss and anubias growing and healthy (enough - I'm not looking for quick growth)?

I wish you lived near me I'm looking to buy 6-10 cpd to put in my display tank and to breed.

I think it should be enough lighting to keep them healthy. You might be able to find 2 x 4w compact flourescent bulbs to put on ther if your super worried about it or you notice that they aren't doing so well. Will you be dosing any ferts? I think this situation is one of those "wait and see" situations since everyones water chemistry is a little different and you might have success with the 1x4w tube whereas someone else may not.

Sorry to be a pest, but im looking for a small nano tank for my shrimp, have u got a link to the tank?
Thanks

It's literally just a clearseal 14x8x8 that i've installed a light in from ebay.

This is another reason why i'm making all the plants removable and attached to hardscape - as I imagine I'll move to a slightly larger, nicer looking tank at some point.
