Like half of the Internet it seems, I wads tricked by my LFS into thinking that Dracaena Variegatus was an aquatic plant. After being tipped off by a forum member on here and doing my own research it seems this isn't true and only two weeks after buying it its already starting to die.

The problem I have is that I love the light colour in my orherwise dark tank and been unable to find anything similar. So opening it to the forum to help.

I'm looking for something light and tallish to grow at the back of my tank. It's a low tech set up with no CO2 or fertilisers and I'd like to keep it that way of I can so looking for something difficult to kill.

Also am I the only one surprised that shops get away with selling this plant as an aquatic plant and have done for years!!

No, you're not the only one. It's one of my biggest pet peeves that they get away with it! :p
I'll move this on over to the Planted section of the forum, the experts over there should be able to help you out :good:

Have a look into some Echinodorus species, there's a lot of varieties which vary in colour and shade.
