I would like to ask the forum im getting a bioorblife 60 big tank largest they do i have been told its best not to add ground fish because of the filter want to know if i put plenty of gravel on the bottom off the tank could i keep loach and other groud dwelling tank fish

hmmm i would say no to cories but if you can get enough hiding places, you may be ok with khuli loaches.

The ground footprint to a bi-orb, isn't big at all and i personally wouldn't recommend it as a tank for bottom and floor dwellers.

As far as I know the biorb system relies on using it's own substrate as part of the filter system and it isn't advised to change this to any other type of gravel or sand.

its to do with the substrate, that comes with the biorb range, its sharp and tends to 'cut' the bottom dwelling fish.

im getting it for 150 pounds off my boss so i van pay her instalments want fish so badly not my first choice for a tank just i dont want to wait reayyly want a tank now

Personally I would search ebay for a more traditional shaped tank. I am sure you will find something reasonably priced not too far away. You would then be able to use whatever substrate you choose, ie sand if you fancy corys or other bottom dwellers.

You could get a Clearseal barebones 36"x12"x15" (LxWxH) [106 litres] for £51 or a 30x12x15 [88 litres] for £33 at Pets at Home

or a 60ltr elite, with heater, filter for £75 brand new.

£150 is a lot for that size!
