Hi all,

I'm just starting to look into starting a tropical tank.. I'm thinking about getting the Jewel Lido 120. Anyone got any feelings on this tank? Ultimately, I'm think about:

3 chain loaches
8 zebra danio
4 checker barb

Is that about the right stock level?

I had one they are ok but im a short ass so its a bit too tall for me to work on.
They are ok but i had some probs growing some plants
But if you not picky about what plants you grow then i think its a good choice
I would have another one

Welcome to the fish forum! :hi:

I have a Lido 120. Mine is really good (so far)...

I am not sure if your stocking levels will be okay as I am not familiar with all the fish you are looking at, but what I would say is if this is your first tank look up "cycling new tanks" on this forum...It will save you alot of hassle!

If you can I would try to barter with different fish shops in your area that have lido 120's ...I asked everal what was the price and played them off of each other to get a better price and I got £30 off the asking price of the tank alone with a little haggling :shifty: :hey:

Thanks.. I have a lot of reading to do before I buy !!

I really want to keep a few plants in it.. Is the standard Twin light system good enough for this 62cm x 41 x 58cm depth..

The new highlite version is pretty good unfortunately i got it before they did that and the old lighting is not as good! x
