Went to my LFS and was just looking around at the tanks and notice a gorgeous blue male betta, but also in the tank must of been 100 guppies. Surely they would just destroy the bettas fins? But he looked fine,not sure how long he'd been in there for but felt really sorry for him!

yea i c that a lot but the guppies usually dont seem to hurt the bettas

i read somewhere that bettas would act aggresively towards guppies because of their tails.

males will atack the guppies if they are bright and colourful as they think its another male betta, however if the male had just been added he would be to stressed to even think about the guppies IMO
