Lfs Job

hi guys.
just thinking about working in a lfs but roughly how much pay would they give?
(hope this isnt offending anybody)
Depends on where you live, but the short answer is "not much"...

yep very true!

if your well into the hobby and buy alot of equipment with good discount at work it can work at the same as having a better wage somewhere else.

Yeah, not much above the minimum wage, I'd guess, especially shops that don't care whether you know your goldfish from your glofish.

I know just how you feel....I felt the same myself, I was a debt collecter in Glasgow for 6 years but having a family I couldnt afford to work a job that I would get any pleasure from....so I decided to make my own job and started my own business www.aquascapeuk.com and hey presto, Im as happy as a sandboy and doing what I enjoy so...the moral of the story is live your dream!

Hope this inspires you. :D

did you relly make that site?
its great!
im a train driver... hate it! so boring yet so hands on. :grr:
ps. how many months is "per month" for the rio 400?

Yeah thats my site.....not a bad way to make a living, its the only solution to Multiple tank syndrome because you dont need to worry about room in your house or the cost of electricity, you can have tanks in other peoples work!....its great.

They get a beautifull aquarium in their work and they dont need to do any of the work.

The Rio 400 we do for £250 a month (Im not sure what you meant by "how many months is per month?"

.....ironically enough, I often thought of being a train driver during my many years of debt collection...maybe thats a sign.

Tetrafan I think wot Big Mick is saying is £250 per month for as long as they need want the tank. They are not buying the tank they are renting with it's own maintenance contract sort of thing.

Great idea tho, gettin paid for going around setting up tanks, feeding fish and looking after them. Can't think of anything better! lol

Gee

Oh u beat me to it! lol

Just out of interest where do you drive trains?.....are you in the UK? You wouldnt want to drive the underground trains in Glasgow.....its like an open sewer down there!
