after a good lfs in the dorset area - recently moved back from east sussex (where I started fish keeping lol), and after a good place to get fish/advice/supplies from!

Cheers

where in dorset are you?

boscombe....riftvalley cichlids
charminster....tropical fish world<think it called
christcurch.....southern aqautics....also in creekmoor poole...
cemetery junction poole....ringwood road...animal kingdom<tropicalfishworld>
wimborne....maidenhead aqautics...

I'm actually in Wimborne, went to Maidenhead but found they were a bit pushy with the sales and a tad expensive. I know this sounds daft but do Rift Valley Cichlids sell other fish or just cichlids?

Which one is your lfs?

haha all of them for different things....
i go to charminster for dither fish...cheapest one around ....
boscombe for new world/old world cichlids and oddball fish do have a selection of dither fish but hes put prices up a bit after kinson closed down...
what are you looking for then i could help...
equipment i find southern aqautics cheap for this

I always have a look in Dorset Discus in Bridport when i'm down that way, its a small shop but has all the basics need and a fairly good selection of fish.

Atlantis in charminster is the best for experance although it's very oldfassion, but i like that. Known Tony the owner for 20 years and and if u like to be insulted wide his wife up ;) works a treat every time......

MA is ok
Pisces has just this week closed down (Dave and Bill had a geart shop there 10 years ago)
Southern i dont like either one's.
animal kingdom is pants and not worth anything.
Boscome shop.... well cant say what i think of that place, know then owner for 15 years.

ive been trying to remember where animal kingdom is, went there years ago but forgot where it is, i know its parkstone/seaview way but how do you get there from seaview?

boscombe....riftvalley cichlids.............CRAP!!!!! COMPLETE DUMP EVEN WITH THE REFIT
charminster....tropical fish world<think it called NICE PLACE, GREAT OWNER, VERY HONEST AND HELPFUL
christcurch.....southern aqautics....also in creekmoor poole... CHRISTCHURCH GOOD FOR HAREWARE AND NEW TANKS.....CREEKMORE CRAP CONSTANT ILL FISH
cemetery junction poole....ringwood road...animal kingdom<tropicalfishworld> CANT FIND IT LOL
wimborne....maidenhead aqautics... SOME MISERABLE STAFF, GOOD SELECTION OF FISH BUT EXPENSIVE, HARDWARE EXPENSIVE
PETS@HOME .CHRISTCHURCH AND POOLE......CRAP,CRAP,CRAP AND CRAP!!!!

Thanks guys, I was looking for everything really lol. We went to the southern aquatics in creekmoor, I know what you mean the fish aren't very healthy at all!

Do any of them order in specific fish? I was thinking more on the Betta side of things. My two aquariums are Juwel Rekords, so where's the best stockist for them?

Also, has anyone bought fish from the Koi Shop in 3 legged cross? It's just down the road from where I work, we were given a discount card because we ordered in a stand that cost a bit of money, so I've been going there to get hardware and spares etc but what are their fish like?

Sorry about all the questions!
