It appears that I'm up against a nematode infection that is resistant to Levamisole.

(I have dealt with nematodes successfully in the past, and Levamisole has been very effective. This new critter, an unidentified Capillaria species, seems not to care.)

Does anyone have good alternatives or any info on Levamisole-resistant worms?

One alternative that comes to mind is Flubendazole. It is available in the UK under the trade name "Flubenol". Did anyone work with it? Does anyone know where in the US it can be obtained?

Does anyone have any idea which forum/maillist/person I should try to contact?

TIA

Thanks, Wilder & Tolak,

Give their hotline a call.

Getting "Mailbox full"... not clear if they carry the meds... I'll try on Monday, but other recommendations are meanwhile very welcome.

Someone on Wilder's thread mentioned getting Flubendazole in the US,...I PM'd him.

Any additional leads will be great.

Thank you, Wilder,

You are great as usual. Will be contacting him.

More questions:

One possibility is "Fluke Tabs" which is said to be effective. The problem is that it is not supposed to be used with Scaleless Fish or Bottom Feeders. Well, hillstream loaches are both.

Does anyone know anything about this or used this med?
(The restriction may be because of Catfish...)

Are there any similar restrictions on Flubenol?
