I have had a 46g low tech and a 75g high tech running for a few months while I learn about plants. I jumped into the high tech because I had the money to at the time. {Smart choice, since now I'm broke for a bit}

The low tech has taught me the good stuff, growing healthy plants in a balanced environment.

I want to have one more assisted learning experience, if anyone is willing to help. I would like to rescape my 75g into something lovely. I feel that once I have achieved this, I will be ready to really start experimenting on my own.

Step one: Any thoughts on plants when you see this pic?
Please picture without the blue covered water pumps, rocks and caves. Though if you like the red rocks. I can use them.

I can imagine some of that wood covered in some type of moss, with crypts, and anubias all around. Maybe a carpeting of dwarf hair grass to the left side. And a lot of tall stalk like plants densely planted in the back to provide cover. What I think of when I see that picture :good:

I had been looking at hairgrass a lot lately because my micro sword died under the weight of ugly diatoms. I didn't have luck with the micro sword throwing off a lot of runners either, in this tank or the 46g. It's healthy in the 46g but no runners so far.

Was this still planned as a high tech, or was this now a low tech tank?

Still High Tech. I haven't removed my plants yet, I wanted to make the plan, and then whatever plants I already have can be used. I'll list the rest for trade.
