This is the first time I've kept Tanganyikans, and of the 4 leleupis in my tank, 2 have randomly died, 1 is missing, and the other one isn't eating anything!
The other fish are doing fine, swimming, eating, defending territory, but the last leleupi doesn't eat at all. I tried lettuce, frozen brine shrimp, tubifex, and flakes, but he just looks at it and stays in a little crevice occasionally chasing or retreating from other fish.
I saw one dead today, stuck near the filter, and the other one get chased and randomly die! I netted them out, checked them and saw nothing suspicious. They also weren't eating before they died. I looked everywhere and still couldn't find the missing one.
I have a 12 gallon hospital tank that is ready to go, but I don't know how he'd do in there. Please help!

Can someone please help?! I found hte missing one dead in one of the caves. The only one left doesn't look like he'll last long. He's not moving much and refuses to eat anything!

Uncle does all the tests and said everything was fine. pH is at 8.2, temp is 82 degrees, and I got all the leleupis on Friday. Stupid cousin added neolamprologus cylindricus on Sundy, but they are too small and just hide and eat right now. I also have 5 julidochromis regani, 3 neolamprologus brevis, 1 altolamprologus compressiceps, and 1 altolamprologus calvus.

Once fish stop eating bad news really, if there no symtoms like flicking and rubbing on objects, i would say it sounds bacterial, if you lost a few fish without any noticeable symtoms usually say treat for a bacterial infection.

Last night I put him in the hospital tank, so today I'll find some medications, and sea salt . Well thanks all.

Good luck.
