Legality Of Me Keeping Native Fish...

When i bought my khuli loaches a while back now i didn't know they came from the wild...I know many fish come from the wild and end up in lfs but i have already done threads on how i realy dislike it...
I just don't see the point in fishing out even more fish by yourself when there are enough already in shops, well maybe not bass but then again why add to the growing problem?
I was just trying to raise an issue thats all in the attempt to try and persuade people from taking even more fish out of the wild than there already are..

I truly respect your sensitive heart, but wanted to point out a couple of things. I could get into what I've read concerning a fishes memory, but won't do that here. All I know is the wild caught fish I keep in my tanks seem just as happy as any fish I've ever had. I'd much rather catch my own fish in a pond behind my house as support the fish industry in any way if I'm concerned about fish being mistreated. I'd propose that much more harm is done by the aquarium trade or by supporting it, than by catching your own fish for your own purposes. Even if all the fish I bought at my LFS were bred by someone, I'm still very much supporting the industry as a whole. Its much like supporting breeders of dogs as opposed to getting them at the pound in some ways, though I realize its very different too. Another thing is this. I can nearly guarantee that less fish will die by catching your own, then by having them shipped all over creation. Once again, I love someone that truly cares about creatures, so kudos there, just wanted to point out some thoughts.
