Has anybody used LED lights (either underwater or above the tank) for their betta tanks? If so, what did you and your fish think of them?

Thanks!

hi lionmom
ive got them in a comunity tank,i like them and the fish dont mind, the leds come on half ahour before the main lights and that way you do not blind the fish with bright lights :hyper: then they go of half hour after the main lights, happy fish no dazzle :good:
have fun

Thanks for the reply. I just ordered a small (4.35 inch) bar with 2 white & 2 blue bulbs. It is completely submersible and I am thinking it is going underwater!

Can't WAIT!!!!

WOW - BEAUTIFUL tank!!!!

I'm not much of a do it yourselfer so I ordered the small unit I wrote about. It really was not expensive so I'm happy and can't wait for it to get here!!!!

I got one for one of my betta tanks the other day, and Kai was realy unimpressed, lol  he seems to prefer the red LED though. They are cool - I thought even the normal clear one looked lovely in his tank, but Kai disagreed so it had to go!

Hope your lights arrive soon - and take some pics! :good:
