Led Lights Fitting To Hood

hi i have just got some blue leds they need fitting to the hood of my tank they are in a strip is double sided tape the answer or tank silicone better ? thanks in advance regards phil

I find tape comes loose with all the condensation so silicone

thanks for that the tank is empty at present so should i use tank silicone or normal does it make a difference ?

I would use tank silicone, just to be safe. Although it's not going directly in the water, there's still a chance it could get wet from condensation, leech out chemicals and then drip back into the tank.

You can also use superglue - go for the cyanoacrylate stuff, again, just to be safe.
