I imagine this is a pretty popular question, so sorry if im retreading old ground.
basically, i have noticed today that temps in my tank have risen considerably (was 26, was pushing 30)
I have since dropped from 2 24W t5s to 1. And this has helped (along with a water change) to get it down to 27.. still a little warm but better than it was!
So:
Would i notice a considerable difference in heat if i switched to LED?
- What other benefits would i notice?
And if the above is favorable, where is the best place to find LED lights that will fit my tank (60x30x36cm/24x12x15Inches) i have a cat, so really need something that will fit into the hood. which shouldnt be an issue as it is a custom job.
ideally i would like the LED equivilent of what i have, which is a daylight and plant grow bulbs.
I know i could probably find this with a simple google, but its hard to tell what is actual fact and good advice, and what is a sales pitch. So i figured i would ask here, where i do get good advice!
Thanks,
