Led For Lighting?

Hello everyone, i am a feen when it comes to LED's, that being sayd i bought a little 2.5g tanks yesturday and the lighting that it came with was very very very dull and i hate it, well i want to convert it to pure white w/blue leds.

its simple and straight forwards but heres the catch, i also have live plants in there, there all low level light plants that i had in my 10g tank with a 18w bulb,and now i moved them to the small 2.5g tank.

now each led bulb pushes out .20 mA, could i replace the lighting with leds and could the plants still survive with led for its light source??

could the plants still use the light thats being emitted by the led to still survive.
