Location
Southern MN
so the location that members list, in their info, in the left corner, when they post, if you click that, it links to maps ( at least on my computer ) if someone types in a city, & you don't know where, or even what country it's in, if you click it, it brings up "maps" of that location... in my info it just says southern Minnesota... if you didn't know where or what country that's in, just clicking it takes me to "Map's" on the southern half of the state of Minnesota, in the USA... kind of a cool feature, I didn't know about... did you???

just trying it out a little, looks not perfect, depending on what was put in by the member... @emeraldking lists NL which I was thinking he was from the Netherlands ... but NL came up as New Foundland / Labrador on my "maps"???

& I don't think anyone need to be paranoid, unless you're putting your street address in there... I remember someone had degrees latitude & longitude... not sure if that would go to their house, or just a general area...

Yes, I'm in Holland and not in New Foundland...;)

We discourage members putting their street or postcode/zipcode. Anyone who does will get a message suggesting they change it :)

Now I have to see what google maps shows for "Where the deer and the antelope play." Stand by...

Edit: Well, it's pretty close, but antelope don't really live in the middle of town...and I wonder if it's just showing the location of my computer. What does it show for you?

My location - Teesside - is a region rather than a place. According to the post office the county is Cleveland but if I'd put that it would have confused members no end, thinking I was in the USA not the UK :)

Cleveland sort of no longer exists a county - it's not recognised by most couriers, for example. So for them I use North Yorkshire.

Interesting . I got Midwest Wyoming . Actually not Midwest proper but a trailer thirty miles away .

A trailer 30 miles from Midwest: The Wyoming equivalent of a van down by the river.

you got a safe one... when I click your location, it just shows my location... I didn't know we were neighbors... the deer play here, but I've yet to meet any antelope, in my neighborhood
Yours came up as a Barbecue joint in Shakopee . What are you doing to those fish ?
