Ive been on holiday for 7 days and have came home to a leaking tank. Whats the best/quickest/easiest way to find and repair this leak. Im in a pickle, because i wont have anywhere to store all me fish. I NEED HELP A.S.A.P PLEASE GUYS!

Hi, first off, you gotta breathe. Probably not as bad as you may think but as precautions I would suggest you have containers ready on standby in case worst comes to worst.

But first, have to ask, how bad is this leak and where is the leak coming from?
Cracked glass, or in a joint/corner?

A temporary fix may be is to use some aquarium sealant or superglue if the crack/hole is very small.

What size of tank do you have and what stocking?

I see that you are UK based, so the major chain LFS will still be open if you need to get a cheap tank from them perhaps.
Or possibly even go to B&Q or Homebase or something like that for a large plastic container that can hold water and air pump etc is another option.

But first answer the question about how bad the leak is and where the leak is coming from.

EDIT - have deleted your other thread with the same info and have moved this to emergency section as possibly more chance of getting more responses.

If you can find the leak cling film over the leak on the inside will hold temporarily until you can get another tank or it re-sealed, water pressure will hold the cling film in place/ If the leak is high up just lower the water level.

Panic over. It wasnt leaking. My brother moved my out flow pipe so it was spraying too close to the edge of the tank, splashing up on to the lid and seeping down the side of the tank.
Phew.

thankyou all for your help. :)

i had the same except i was still on holiday when the missus friend was in and she rang to say the tank was leaking,i was ready to take the next flight home lol but it was the water level had dropped and the spray bar was splashing and making the water run down the side of the tank....thank god...:D
