My water level is dropping! Some is from cleaning/water tests/evaporation?, but not that much i would think! I marked the top of the water and this is where it is at after 2 days. I put paper towels under the corners of the tank overnight but saw no moisture on them the next day. Can anyone help!

Think of everywhere the water travels, along pipes to external filters etc and have a wipe round with toilet paper checking for leaks.

Good luck!!

depending on the temp of your tank it may be evaporating... I know that my 29gallon tank evaporates atleast 1"+ per week... temps around 81F

Thats what I was hoping. I didn't know how much it would evaporate, so I am kind of freaking out. I REALLY can't find any leaks, and it seems that it just started to drop about a week ago. The tank has been running for about a month, and the only changes have been just recently.

Your indoor humidity will have an effect on evaporation. When it gets colder outside, your heat runs more, reducing humidity in the air. This increases the rate of evaporation. How tightly the top seals your tank will affect evaporation as well, A well sealed 29 in my setup loses about 1/4" weekly, one without a top will lose an inch in the summer, nearly two inches weekly in the winter. My tanks are in the upper 70s to mid 80'sF.

If your weather has been colder recently the heat running more will cause faster evaporation.

Great! It has been extremely cold these past two weeks, so that sounds like the reason. Thanks alot!!
