Leaking Eheim 2328 Filter, Please Help

I got a second hand Eheim 2328 filter, it is Eheim professional series filter. at first it runs ok, but I noticed once power off it is leaking!!

The water is coming from the connection part between the top filter motor and the bottom canister, I did not find any O-ring in this filter. But I never seen this problem before in my other similar filter,

I guess it something to do with Sealing gasket, should i pull it out totally or push it back inside totally?

take it this is an external filter?

my brother lent me his house for the night when he was out and i had a lady friend over, he asked me to turn off his tank light and i ended up turning off everything in a hurry (pulled out the multi adapter plug) and it flooded his house

yes , it is external filter , I do not know how to put the sealing gasket, it is a tiny black rubble lid.
