Lead Weight?

I am using some lead weights, or what I believe to be them they were on some plants I bought, But I am using them to hold down a pallet type thing with java moss like in Jimboo's article this is ok to be in a tank correct?

Lead has been used in fish tanks since the dawn of man. Don't worry about it.
