2day i saw the weirdest thing when to my mates house to pick up a cd when i enterd the house every thing was normal i was about to live when he say'd 'yo brov check this out' he pull a lazer out of his pocket and shines in his tank where a betta live and the betta came out and tryd to kill/eat the red dot i told ain't that dangerous??? wont that radiate the water of blind ur fish if it gets in his eye???
he told me ' i dont know' now his puzzled he make a water change and all and his worryd...

is that dangerous??? i think it would blind him if it gets in his eyes and stays 4 to long

what u lot think????

Lasers will not kill your fish, I've seen people use them to play with their fish because they will chase the dot. Of course with anything its not good to shine a laser in your eye or anyone else's. :)

fishes eyes arent as complex as human eyes, so it wont be damaged as easily
I don't see that that follows at all. A fish can't close it's eyes and has very little if any aperture control therefore a mammalian eye is far better equipped to protect itself then a simpler fish eye.

I certainly wouldn't shine a laser near my fish.

well, im saying that a laser beamed into a human eye will cause more damage to the eye than a fish eye. think of if this way, if you have a really precise bearing, and you go over a bump with it, it will lose alot of percision. if you have a normal bearing and you go over a bump with it, you wont lose as much precision.
