Lawn landscaping rocks

HI, my dad is wanting put put these white rocks that are for landscaping into our 125g tank. the bags were bought from home depot at 2.79 for a 50lbs bag. Will these rocks act as a buffer n lower or higher my ph. if these rocks can be used is there any negatives with using these rocks? thanx

Even if they do pass the tests described in the pinned section, I would stay clear from white rocks. Envision them a few months down the road with a green layer of algae covering them. Granted, you could take them all out of the tank and clean them with a toothbrush and get most of the algae off, but trust me, you will not get it all. (Been there done that )If you don't mind a little green "marbling" on your white rocks, this may be acceptable for you, just depends what you like. But definitely do the tests described in the pinned section first.

i decided to take them out and put actuall aquarium rocks in (white ones)
