Right this is going to sound really obvious
But IV just setup a 6 gal tank on my desk to keep dwarf puffers and wanted to have rocks up the back with holes in for caves.
So i went in to my local maidenhead to get some but they wanted £7.50 per rock
just because it was laver rock with holes in?? 
So instead i brought 5 good size peaces and a few small ones of normal laver rock for £12 and went home..
Now the fun part..
I went in to my shed.. Got out a drill and a big drill bit... stud and looked at the rocks for a min then went made with the drill where ever i thought it should have some holes..
It was really really easy to drill the hols but just take care as you can split the rocks.
After you need to give them a real good rinse.. I used a power shower.
