With questions on here recently about breeding thought maybe I should post some updated photos of my tank and some of the females holding.

hey, I still am ina we at the DIY background you did. also what kind of lights do you have?

Thanks for all the comments guys.

The lighting for the photo was both of my light bars, so 3 x 40w T8 Powerglo and 1 x 40w T8 Marineglo. This was only for photographic purposes though, cameras find it very difficult to handle intense blue light and it was necessary to use the 2nd bar.
Normally just the front bar, with the bulb nearest the front being the Marineglo. It really does bring out the blue on the scales of most of them, and gives a nice blue hue to the tank, not quite so great for the Yellow labs though.

Will post this one to show the effect of the Marineglo blue bulb on his face, a little out of focus but didn't have my flash avaialable and he's a quick little sucker.

yeah really like the look :hyper: I'm planning on building a 2 bulb t5 light for a 75 gallon and wsa going to do a 12,000k white bulb and an actinic blue bulb, but now that i have seen yours I really like the marineglo

Beautiful pics George, glad so see everyone is so healthy and obviously happy. LOVE the venustus, my favorite hap by far, if I ever set up a large tank he will be the star.

Thanks. I will get round to writing the photographic guide for fast moving, low light subjects for this section at some point. Been very busy and it slipped off the radar in lieu of setting up a new 20G tank to hold some of the fry until I can sell them on.

Wow, i am hoping that someday i will be able to add another tank to my collection, and this is the type of setup i want :good:
