ive had a large 40cm+ pleco for roughly a week, and he's simply refusing to eat. he will not touch anything i put in the tank.
(have tried potato, cucumber, courgette, lettuce, paprika, chicory and spirulina/algae pellets/wafer

ive even moved him to a 'calmer' tank (he was in a communtiy tank but seemed scared so moved him into a tank with just 2 other fish)

am worried he's gonna starve :(

any ideas what could be wrong?

water stats all normal (a -0, nitrite0, nitrate 5)
temp is around 26
plenty of wood in the tank and hiding spots, plenty of room, lights are kept off in that tank too to encourage him to come out

He's obviously still stressed from the move, try to keep things as calm as possible for him, easier said than done I know, plus dont forget he may well be rasping on the wood and eating any algae in the tank, Im sure he will eat soon enough, try leaving some food in his hidey place too, so he doesnt have to come out for it.

ive sat up many nights watching him! he seems to stay in the same spot day and night :(

ive tried putting food in his hidey hole but its still there the next day :(

poor thing

im also concerened that in two weeks or so he has to be moved again (moving house) what on earth will happen then?

sometimes it can take upto 3 weeks for fish to settle in and start eating properly they will eat but very little and not where you can see them/it
