Large Blue Gourami

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone ever heard a blue gourami eating smaller fish? He seems so docile yet I am losing any small fish seemingly overnight and no trace of a body?? I havea 30 G tank for about 6 months. Residing in it are a pink kissing gourmai, chinese algae eater, orange guppy, blue gourami, and a small silver tip shark. He, the shark is not doing so great I got him yesterday and now he isswiming around the top of the tank quickly from side to side. My water stats are perfect with exception to a slightly elevated ph being 7.3 at this time usually 7-7.2.

Many fish will eat any smaller fish that will fit in their mouth. A Northern Pike can even eat fish that are half of its size.

What fish have you lost? As said nearly all fish will eat any other fish that fits into their mouths so things like guppies and small tetras are on most fishes menu's.
