last time i was in the aquatic design centre in london they had them.
As for care no idea an i never keep them (personal tast thats all)
i would presume like most African cichlids but i know the like shell's so u mat want to get some apple snail shell's fro then to live in
These fish were my fav fish from lake Tanzania and i loved them. They are best kept as a group - mine were in a group of 8 fish in a 30" tank. I had sand on the bottom and planty caves of flower pots and also some shells. These fish all seemed to pair up at the same time and all defended a small territory. It was great to see them all digging around in the sand - some were digging pits and putting the waste sand in other pits where the owners of the other pit would move the sand to another pit. It was great to watch and when yopung started to appear they seemed to be well looked after and i suffered few losses although i did move the young at around a month after i saw them.Would love to hear any information about these fish in the UK.
